Course Descriptions:

Accounting I--This course will give the student a thorough background in the basic accounting procedures used to operate a service and/or a merchandising business.

Computerized Accounting II--This course will give the student a thorough background in the basic accounting procedures to operate a departmentalized merchandising business and a business organized as a corporation using QuickBooks Pro.

In-House Training--This course simulates a business environment so students will experience the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that accompany working in a business setting.  Students will work on live production work.  There is no formal classroom instruction.  Training will be done on an individual basis, or the "employee" may receive training by another skilled "employee."

Computer II--This course is an introductory course for Desktop Publishing, Multimedia, Web Page Design, and PhotoShop.  Basic Internet and e-mail concepts will be covered.

Computer-Aided Graphics is designed to teach the concepts of computer generated graphics and photography.  Software used will be Creative Suite CS2.

Multimedia--Multimedia is designed to teach the concepts that will help the student become successful in the video industry.  Video production is a combination of artistic ability, creativity, and technical skill.  Students will learn to effectively solve visual problems using the tools at their disposal for pre-production, production, and post-production.  Students will assist in maintaining the district web site, maintain the school's and city's cable channels, write/tape/edit daily news, and prepare documentaries and special occasion videos using the Casablanca Prestige SmartEdit software.
