Erie Forensics

The Erie Forensic team has had a busy month, competing in five different tournaments.
March 29th the squad competed in Parsons. The duet team of Andrew Randall and Bryce Ruble medaled for fourth place. Other team members competing were seniors Jessie McCoy, Jessica Randall, and Jeff Thomas, junior Amanda Moore, and freshmen Veronica Pontious, Marisa Hunn, Sam Kendall, and Chelsey Brinson.
On Saturday, April 12th, four team members traveled to St. Mary's Colgan. Freshmen Bryce Ruble, Samantha Kendall, Marisa Hunn, and Jeff Thomas, senior. Jeff Thomas broke finals for Oral Interpretation of Poetry, and received a 3rd place medal.
Anderson County hosted a meet on Monday, April 14th. Flora Sanders led the team with a 3rd place finish in Humorous Solo Acting which qualified her for the State Tournament. Veronica Pontious also medaled in Prose Competition. She received a 6th place medal. Other team members competing were seniors Jeff Thomas, Jessie McCoy, Jessica Randall, juniors Mark Mersman, Billy Lukens, Cameron Testerman, and Amanda Moore, sophomores Gabby Noakes, Andrew Randall, and freshmen Chelsey Brinson, Marisa Hunn, Bryce Ruble, and Samantha Kendall.
The freshmen squad members led the team in medals Tuesday, April 15th at Northeast High School. Veronica Pontious, Samantha Kendall, and Bryce Ruble all medaled and placed 6th in Duet Acting and Original Oration. Senior Flora Sanders placed 4th and medaled in Humorous Solo Acting, and the novice team of freshman Marisa Hunn and sophomore Gabby Noakes led the team with a 3rd place finish in Improvised Duet Acting.
Saturday, April, 19th the squad traveled to Neodesha High School for Regional competition. Jeff Thomas, Flora Sanders, Marisa Hunn, Bryce Ruble, Veronica Pontious, and Samantha Kendall all received 1st place ratings and medals which qualify them to attend State Competition in Wichita on May 2nd and 3rd.
Other students who attended were: Jessie McCoy, Amanda Moore, and Gabby Noakes.They are coached by Cheryl Dalton.
