Erie High Charter School|Forensics

Erie High School's Forensics team competed in the CNC League tournament hosted at Erie High School, March 3, 2008. Eight schools participated in the tournament. Erie's team placed 2nd in the sweepstakes points behind St. Mary's Colgan. Coming in 3rd place was Southeast High School.

The squad broke ten individual events in finals competition. Jessica Randall placed 5th in Prose competition as well as 5th in Improvised Duet Acting with her partner Flora Sanders. Jeff Thomas took 1st place in Poetry and 3rd place in Extemporaneous Speaking. Bryce Ruble placed 5th in Original Oration. Casey Evans placed 2nd in Extemporaneous Speaking. In the acting events, Marisa Hunn placed 3rd in Serious Solo Acting as well as 6th place with her partner Billy Lukens in Duet Acting. Gabby Noakes and Veronica Pontious, placed 6th in Improvised Duet Acting behind Mark Mersman and Billy Lukens who took 4th place.

Other students competing for Erie were: Jessie McCoy, Amanda Moore, and Chelsey Brinson. The Squad is coached by Cheryl Dalton.
