Mrs. Tonya Craft

"I love teaching
children. Seeing the expressions on their faces when they finally
understand a concept is great! I became a teacher because,
like most teachers, I like kids," said Mrs. Craft.
Mrs. Craft worked as a teacher’s aid in high school and it was fun for her. She would tell anyone thinking about teaching to be prepared to spend a lot of time working. Teachers are at school early and often stay late. They work weekends, and summers too. She likes to teach math and science. If she didn’t teach she would probably be a veterinary technician or work in a library. She loves animals and loves to read. Her teacher and coach, Mr. Peters, had a influence on her life because he was strict but fair. He held his students to a high standard and he expected a lot of them.
The best thing about teaching is seeing the students' smiling faces in the morning and getting a hug or a high five at the end of the day. The teacher of the week is Mrs. Craft. Thanks, Mrs. Craft, for being a great teacher.
