Second Semester Begins

PBL Learns Business Etiquette

January 11, 2008

Second semester PBL class has had six production meetings about getting started in this semester.  We have had time to get to know who is in our pods; we have made set rules and names for our pods. When we first came together in our groups, we found what we all had something in common and could get to know who we would be working with the rest of the year. This week we have discussed topics such as business etiquette and the skills that a person would need to succeed in a workplace. Currently, we are writing a paper covering those two questions for our first paper. On January 9, 2008 we went on a field trip to Power Flame in Parsons. There we picked up additional information about business etiquette and what skills we need to go about getting a job and how to keep that job once we have it.  The clown nose represents how people can diminish stressful situations in a workplace.
