Off To A Great Start!

Our first grade class is off to a great start. We have our routine down and are working hard. As a review we are working our way through the alphabet. We are also eating our way through the alphabet. Every day we have a snack that starts with the letter we are working on.
Guided Reading groups have also started. Students are given a new book every day. They need to read the book with someone at home. This lets them practice their reading skills and allows you to see what they are capable of reading.
We have also started spelling lessons. Students are given the list of words on Monday. A pretest is given on Wednesday. If they do not make a 100% on Wednesday, they have another chance on Friday. Their highest score will be recorded.
We have 15 students in our classroom!
